Free consultation

We take over your company's day-to-day accounting: we post the documents, keep the accounting records and file the reports with the NRA and the NSSI on time. You focus on your business, and we keep track of what has to be filed and when.

What is included

  • Bookkeeping of source documents: purchase and sales invoices, bank statements, cash transactions.
  • Maintaining the accounting records and a tailored chart of accounts for the company.
  • Monthly reporting to the NRA and the NSSI: VAT returns (if the company is VAT-registered) and declarations for insured persons.
  • Year-end closing, the annual financial statement and the annual tax return.
  • Advice on day-to-day questions: how to prepare a document, what counts as a deductible expense, when an obligation arises.

The scope depends on the package. “Start” (from €80 per month) covers basic accounting, the annual financial statement and 1 insured person. “Business” (from €150) is for active companies with VAT registration and payroll for 1–3 employees. “Premium” (from €250) includes full service, payroll for up to 5 employees, 2 hours of tax advice per month and representation before the NRA. The final price is set after a review of your business. Prices exclude VAT.

Who it is for

For small and medium-sized companies, start-ups, freelancers and self-employed persons in Sofia and the surrounding region. It suits a company with a few invoices a month just as well as a company with staff, imports from the EU and VAT registration.

If your company is new, it is best to contact us before you issue the first invoice. That is when decisions are made that are hard to change later: the accounting policy, how cash is recorded, when VAT registration will be needed. If you already have an accountant and want to switch, we take over the accounting from the start of the following month or from the start of the year, depending on the state of the documents.

Statutory deadlines

Accounting follows a number of fixed deadlines:

  • VAT return and VIES declaration: by the 14th of the following month (source);
  • Declaration form 1 and form 6 for insured persons: by the 25th of the following month (source);
  • annual tax return under the Corporate Income Tax Act and payment of corporate tax: from 1 March to 30 June of the following year (source);
  • publication of the annual financial statement in the Commercial Register: by 30 September of the following year (source: Art. 38(1)(1) Accountancy Act).

Accounting documents must be kept for set periods: payrolls for 50 years, accounting records and financial statements for 10 years, and other documents for 3 years, with the period running from 1 January of the following year (source: Art. 12 Accountancy Act).

What the client provides

  • All invoices issued and received for the month, including credit and debit notes.
  • Bank statements for all of the company's accounts.
  • Cash documents and cash register reports, if you have a cash register.
  • Contracts that affect the accounts: leases, financial leasing, loans, contracts with business partners.
  • Employee data: new starters, leavers, holidays, sick leave.

Ideally, documents should arrive in the first days of the following month. That leaves time to clear up any questions before the 14th and the 25th.

How we work

  1. Free first consultation. We review your business, the volume of documents, the number of employees and your VAT registration.
  2. A contract with a clear monthly price and a defined scope.
  3. We agree on the most convenient way to hand over documents: in person at our office or electronically.
  4. Every month we post the documents, file the declarations and send you the amounts to be paid.
  5. At the end of the year we close the accounts and prepare the annual financial statement and the tax return.

Frequently asked questions

How do I send my documents?

We agree on the most convenient way for you at the first consultation: in person at our office or electronically.

What does the price include?

It depends on the volume of documents, the number of employees and VAT registration. Packages start from €80 per month, excl. VAT, and the exact price is set individually.

Can I change accountants in the middle of the year?

Yes. We need the accounting data and documents from the start of the year so that we can pick up where the previous accountant left off. We will tell you at the consultation exactly what to ask them for.

How long do I have to keep documents?

Payrolls are kept for 50 years, accounting records and financial statements for 10 years, and other documents for 3 years (source: Art. 12 Accountancy Act).

What happens if I send my documents late?

Declarations have fixed deadlines, and the NRA does not extend them because documents arrived late. If a document arrives after filing, we include it in the next period or file a corrective declaration where the law requires it.
