Tax consulting

We help you make informed decisions — before they become a problem. Tax planning, lawful optimisation and clear answers to specific questions, tailored to your activity.

Free consultation

Tax questions are easier to resolve before a transaction than after an inspection. We help you see the tax consequences of a decision in advance: a new activity, a major purchase, a contract with a foreign partner, a change in how you operate. The answer is specific and tailored to your business.

What is included

  • Advice on corporate tax and personal income tax.
  • VAT advice: when a liability arises, how a particular supply is taxed, the right to input VAT credit.
  • Advice on social security contributions for owners, managers and self-employed persons.
  • Tax planning for new transactions and changes in your business, within the law.
  • Review of contracts and documents from a tax perspective before signing.

Who it is for

For companies, freelancers and individuals who want to know the tax consequences in advance. It also suits clients who have their own accountant but want a second opinion on a specific question.

Examples of questions you might consult us on:

  • Should I work as a freelancer or through an EOOD (single-member limited liability company)?
  • How are dividends, rental income or fees under a civil contract taxed?
  • Do I have to charge VAT to a client in another EU country or outside the EU?
  • When is an expense for a car, repairs or a business trip deductible?
  • What do I have to declare if I have income from abroad?

Each of these questions depends on the details, so the answer is given after reviewing your specific case, not by a general rule.

Statutory deadlines

A consultation has no statutory deadline of its own, but it often relates to one of the main deadlines:

  • VAT return: by the 14th of the following month (source);
  • annual return under the Corporate Income Tax Act for companies: from 1 March to 30 June of the following year (source);
  • annual return under Art. 50 of the Personal Income Tax Act for freelancers and other individuals: from 10 January to 30 April of the following year (source);
  • threshold for mandatory VAT registration: EUR 51,130 annual domestic turnover from 1 January 2026 (source).

If your question relates to an upcoming deadline, tell us at the outset so that we can schedule the work accordingly.

What the client provides

  • A short description of the situation or question, in writing if possible.
  • The contracts, invoices or draft documents concerned.
  • Information on any previous tax treatment: declarations filed, earlier opinions.
  • The date by which you need to make a decision.

The more complete the information, the more accurate the answer. If anything is missing, we will tell you what else we need.

How we work

  1. You describe the question or situation to us by phone, by email or at a meeting.
  2. We review the documents and the applicable rules.
  3. You receive a clear answer and a recommendation. Where needed, we also provide them in writing.
  4. If the decision requires action (a declaration, a change to a contract, a registration), we agree who does what and by when.

When a question is complex or the rules have recently changed, we also tell you how far the answer goes: what is certain and what depends on the NRA's interpretation. The decision remains yours, but you make it with a clear view of the risk.

Frequently asked questions

Are consultations included in the packages?

The “Premium” package includes 2 hours of tax advice per month. For the other packages, consultations are agreed separately.

Is the first consultation free?

Yes, the first consultation is free. At it we establish what the question is and how much work it involves.

Can I get a consultation if you are not my accountants?

Yes. A consultation can be agreed as a separate service. We will need the documents relating to the question.

What does tax planning mean?

Arranging your transactions and business so that you pay the taxes due and no more than that, using only the options the law provides.

Is the answer given in writing?

Where needed, yes. For simple questions a verbal answer is usually enough. When the decision involves a large amount or you will be showing it to a bank, a partner or a counterparty, we give it in writing, with reference to the applicable provisions.
